If you are experiencing digestive issues, the best thing you can do for yourself (and it's so easy!) Is to make sure everything you're eating and drinking is warm, or at least room temperature. In Chinese Medicine, we think of the digestive system as a bubbling cauldron on top of a fire. The fire is your body's energy, and the steam coming off of the pot is the energy you get to use from your food. If you put cold, raw foods and iced drinks into the pot, your body has to work harder to digest the food, and you won't be able to extract optimal energy from it. Instead of raw salads, sauté or steam your veggies. Drink room temperature or warm water. Instead of cold cereal for breakfast, eat oatmeal. Add warming spices like black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg to enhance your digestive energy, and wait about 20 minutes before drinking water after you eat. When you drink immediately after eating, your digestive enzymes get diluted and you can't digest as well.

I hope these simple tips help you to start feeling better! If you're ready to keep improving your digestion, schedule a free consultation today!
